Partners in Vision

Bringing hope, building churches and leaders, and fostering unity through dedicated mission work and God honoring relationships.

Our Journey

Partners in Vision was born out of a unique and life-changing friendship forged on the mission field.

Chaloerm Saenwinchai and Jon Esau served together in northern Thailand for seven years together before

God called Jon and his family back to Canada in late 2021. During this transition, both men came to an

unexpected realization: their partnership had profoundly shaped each of them. Jon recognized that serving

alongside Chaloerm had permanently influenced his approach to ministry and faith, and Chaloerm felt the

same about Jon. It wasn’t until their farewell-- with some insight from their wives-- that they truly

understood the transformative impact their friendship had on one another.

After nearly two years apart, God slowly orchestrated their reunion and began to plant seeds for something

new. What emerged was a shared vision to create a ministry built on equality in leadership and rooted in

the kind of authentic mutuality they had experienced. This vision became Partners in Vision: a missionally

driven initiative focused on fostering partnerships between Thai and Canadian churches that reflect the

same mutual transformation Jon and Chaloerm experienced. These partnerships are not one-sided efforts

but rather, dynamic, reciprocal relationships that shape both communities into more holistic expressions of

the Church.

We recognize that intercultural relationships can be complex. Differences in language, culture and

experience can sometimes lead to confusion or disconnect. However, we believe that through intentional

support, coaching and facilitation, these partnerships can become sources of renewal, growth and

transformation. We deeply believe the Church is at its strongest when it walks together in mutual love,

respect and service.

At Partners in Vision, we support and walk alongside churches as they enter into these kinds of

partnerships. We provide coaching, resources and guidance to ensure both communities grow stronger,

more compassionate and more missionally engaged.

We believe, like Chaloerm and Jon’s friendship, that the Church reflects Christ most fully when it stands

together-- across cultures, across oceans and across differences. We invite you to imagine what this could

look like in your own context-- and to explore how God might use a new kind of partnership to shape your

mission, your people and your community.
